2Project Management Tool Selection and Project Management PlanQuality improvement involves using research and scientific evidence to improve patient care (Scheckel et al., 2022). Quality improvement, such as ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), requires thorough research on the best available evidence and practical solutions to improve and prevent VAP occurrence in my healthcare facility. In this paper, I will describe the project management tool most appropriate to design and plan for my project, develop a project management plan, and Identify SMART objectives to lead my project.Project Management Tool Most Appropriate to Design and Plan My ProjectThe objective of my project is to decrease the incidence of VAPs in our healthcare facilityby 25% within the next three months of implementing a VAP bundle prevention guideline that I created. This project involves thorough planning, and the project management tool most appropriate is the Gantt chart. An Excel file attached shows the Gantt chart, representing the timeline and tasks completed to decrease VAPs cases in our facility. The Gantt chart involves several steps, including project charter, stakeholders, literature review, evidence synthesis, and developing the VAP bundle protocol guidelines using AGREE II as an evaluation tool
